I am a software engineer based in Italy, specializing in backend development. I hold a Master of Computing Science degree from the University of Salerno, which I completed in 2021. Currently, I am pursuing an Executive PhD at the same university.
My professional experience includes working as a Digital Identity Engineer at eTuitus, an Infocert company. In this role, I have gained expertise in various technologies and platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.
In addition to my expertise in backend development, I have a keen interest in blockchain technology and self-sovereign identity (SSI).
Throughout my career, I have primarily focused on utilizing Python as my go-to language for approximately 8 years. However, in the past 5 years, I have transitioned to working predominantly with Go. This shift has allowed me to expand my skill set and take advantage of the benefits that Go offers.
As a software developer, I prioritize creating a great developer experience. This entails providing an environment that enables independent experimentation, quick feedback loops, and the ability to focus on writing high-quality software. To achieve this, I advocate for developing Cloud Native solutions, leveraging managed services for non-core-business functionality. I am also a strong advocate for automated tests and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. By implementing comprehensive test coverage, developers gain the freedom to refactor and experiment, while projects lacking such coverage can lead to challenges and limitations.
